Two $50 Grants for Spragg DNA Testing Available

The Sprague DNA Project received a generous donation by one of our members, Duff Sprague. If you descend from the Spragg line, you may be eligible for a $50 discount on your test kit.

(Note: Sprague or other surnames could descend from a Spragg line.)

What exactly is Genetic Genealogy? Good question!

There are two types of DNA tests now available for genealogical testing: the Y-chromosome (Y-DNA) test and the mitochondria (mtDNA) test. A direct female line can be traced by testing mitochondria DNA. However, since we are presently interested in tracing surnames, which are usually passed from father to son, the testing of the Y-chromosome DNA is what we are interested in.
